"In my drawing I was trying to depict
geothermal energy occurring in areas where hot rocks lie near the surface. As
the steam and water rush from the hot rock, they are piped into wells. The
impurities are removed and channeled to the turbine generators housed inside the
geothermal plant. The generators change the energy of the moving water and steam
into electrical energy. With California's population growing, we will see a depletion in fossil-fuel and oil, so geothermal energy will play a good part in the next century. Geothermal energy is very economical and produces very little carbon dioxide emission. This makes it an ideal technology for minimizing global climatic change. The geysers in Northern California are an example of a large geothermal power." |
